San Francisco, CA- (In-Person) Pro-Social: Animal Sanctuary Volunteer Day

December 26 @ 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM MST

Pro-social events are designed as spaces that showcase we can and do have fun in recovery!

At this time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are requesting you provide your own transportation to and from the sanctuary to reduce the risk of transmission (driving directions below). We expect all attendees to wear a mask and practice CDC social distancing guidelines. Please come prepared to work, as we will be helping them do various tasks from cleaning animal pens to building fences. Don’t worry, there will also be time just to hang out with the animals! The sanctuary requests that all food on site be plant-based and contain no animal products (they have provided a home-cooked meal at past events, but we cannot guarantee this). Please dress in layers as it can get cold. Rescued animals you will be interacting with: horses, pigs, ducks, goats, cows, turkeys, chickens, dogs, and cats.

Email Nikos.Pecoraro@youngpeopleinrecovery.org with any questions. Hope to see you there!

Please join us at the following address:
One Living Sanctuary
2785 Franklin Canyon Road
Pacheco (Martinez), CA 94553

Please follow these directions:
Type in 2777 Franklin canyon road, Martinez to whatever mapping app you use.
Drive very slowly (lots of kids and critters) straight down the shared driveway under the train tracks, go to the end of that path and my gate is the last one. Our address is 2785 and the number is at the gate.
It is unlocked. Come on in and park. Please close the gate behind you to keep the animals in.
