Language Matters – A Stigma Reducing Workshop, YPR-Allegheny County, PA

YPR Chapters host workshops that are free and open to all members of the community. These workshops are based on either teaching and exhibiting tangible skills, or creating a stronger understanding of a certain topic.

Join Chapter Lead Sonia for an important workshop; Language Matters – a Stigma Reducing Workshop. We’ll be meeting at a favored community building called the Community Forge, in Wilkinsburg. We’ll be following a PowerPoint and discussing important topics like Defining and Understanding the Impacts of Stigma, Why Stigma Reduction is Important, Exploring the Concept of Person First Language, and Learning how to Best Use Language to Empower and Uplift.

Walk out of this instruction feeling Empowered and Refreshed, and feel free to take Harm Reduction Narcan Kits.
