Recovery Messaging Workshop, YPR-Denver, CO

YPR Chapters host workshops that are free and open to all members of the community. These workshops are based on either teaching and exhibiting tangible skills, or creating a stronger understanding of a certain topic. 

Recovery messaging: Designed to teach people in recovery and their allies how to effectively use person-first language to combat stigma and empower themselves as individuals.

YPR loves workshops of all kinds. The workshops are designed to expand your brain and make you ponder the topics at hand.

With the Recovery Messaging Workshop we will go over recovery messaging training, research around the topic, exploration of concepts, core messages, recovery advocacy and inclusion v. exclusion.

One of the most important things one can learn from this workshop is how to introduce themselves to those around them so they are bringing a positive light onto themselves and recovery as a whole. This can be the first step to break the stigma!
